The cow is an animal. She is a domestic animal. She has four feet. She has two eyes. She has two ears. She has two horns and a long tail. Cows are of many colours-white, black, brown and spotted. Some cows are big. Some cows are small. The cow eats grass, oil-cakes and chaff.

The cow is very useful. She gives us milk. Her milk is very nutritious. It makes us strong and healthy. The cow gives us calves. When calves grow up they plough our fields and draw bullock-carts. The cow gives us dung. Cow-dung is used as fuel. The cow is useful to us even after her death. Her skin, bones and horns are used in many ways. Shoes and bags are made from her skin. So the cow is very useful to us. We worship her. Everybody should keep a cow.
